Hard WorK: Do it now or do it then

There are many quotes in Chanakya Neeti where Kautilya has appreciated the men who do Hard-word and condemned the lazy ones. As a matter of fact, no one likes a lazy guy. This post is about hard work, its benefits, its flaws, and a few related facts & observations. Have a look and hopefully you will find it beneficial.

A few days ago, these ideas suddenly popped into my head and hammered my soul.

You Only have 24 hours in a day:

Every human on this planet has equal opportunity to do his work. The time is the constraint that none can pass. You only have 24 hours in a day and so is the case with other guys.

The honest questions that we must ask for ourselves?

  • Are our actions justifiable?
  • Are we putting required and necessary efforts towards the accomplishment of the objective.
  • Are we working really hard to transform our lives or we are allowing the day to pass.
  • Your goal of life is to survive or to live it to the fullest.
  • Most probably you have desires within. The million dollar question is “What are you doing in real life to achieve those?”.

* It’s good to begin with a dream, but it’s too bad to finish with that dream.

* Only you care most for your dreams and only you are responsible for their fate.

Performing the Relevant Tasks:

The second part is about the relevance of your hard work. It’s not that important to perform huge quantities of hard work, but to accomplish the important tasks on time.

This is the reason why owners of multinationals find it hard to count the cash in hand, while their workmen find it very hard to save money for the future. I believe, that you have correctly interpreted the loud message in the previous statement.

The Relevance of Time:

The value of similar amounts of hard work done at different times is different. The principle says that under most of the circumstances the hard work tends to grow, while other things depreciate.

We can also consider the example of graduates and post graduates. The students who put more efforts are hired soon after completing their studies, while the lazy ones don’t.

Now, despite putting much harder effort at later stages of life a few of those (Non As) students will face problems. They certainly have their chances, but not the ones that they left earlier.

* I am not saying that gaining good grades will fetch your a good job. Anyone, who has right set of skills will surely excel in life. The example only aimed at describing the time relevance of your efforts.

Hard Work must be Continuous:

They say that success is not a destination, but a journey. This statement clearly means that in order to achieve next thing you will require to put some more efforts. It’s another fact that depending upon the time, situation, and place the amount of efforts required will vary on a per case basis.

* This means that the graduates who got jobs in previous part will require proving themselves. Else, they will be told the three magical words i.e. “You are Fired”.

Don’t Fake it; It must be Real:

What is the simplest thing that you can do to turn your dreams into reality? Now, before answering that question, let us define the term reality. The reality is nothing, but the state of things as they actually exist.

Reality does not answer how the things should be or what you think about them. It is all about how the things are. Thus, In order to turn your dreams into reality you will require doing the right things at the right times.

* Thought, formation of a brilliant plan is a very important part of the whole activity, but it alone can’t fetch you the results.

The end result dwells completely on your accomplishments. Need not to say that only real efforts fetch you real profit.
