Do you need more Time?

In theory, all men were created equal by the almighty God. In reality, we live on a planet referred as the Earth. This planet is real and real people dwell on it with their own realities. This is the place where theories and their realities are never a perfect overlap. Sometimes this difference is small, sometimes it’s big and sometimes it’s very big.

Well! today’s article is not about our society or its problems or about solutions to those problems. Today I am in a mood to confront you and ask you a few questions regarding yourself. The questions are simple and are listed below.

  • Are you happy with your achievements and accomplishments?
  • It is what you desire in life?
  • What you want and why you want it?
  • Is your goal reasonable and logical?
  • Do you have a plan?
  • How far have you implemented it? What’s the progress of your plan?
  • How much time will it take?

Who am I to question you? Right! I am no one. Those questions should be asked by you and to yourself. Seriously! this is a small exercise that we must do from time to time. Actually, I do it all the time when I am alone and it really helps me to remain focused and to determine the next course of action.

The problem with most of us is that in 99.99% cases we know what’s to be done and how to do it. Still, the missions remain unaccomplished. The factors like inaction, procrastination, and habit of finding excuses are the top reasons. One thing that we don’t realize is we all have a limited lifespan. The time we keep wasting will never come back and is continuously being subtracted with no exception for anyone.

The length of a day is same for everyone. Everyone gets 24 hours in a day. It is another thing that the same 24 hours are utilized by different people in a different manner.

  • Someone will simply waste that time.
  • The CEOs/Owners of fortune 500 companies will utilize it in a different manner.
  • A student will utilize this time to understand a few more concepts related to his field of study.
  • On the other hand, the classmate of this student will utilize/waste his 24 hours texting his/her girlfriend/boyfriend.

The list is never-ending, but the summary is that time is not a renewable resource. It appears as if it’s available in surplus quantities, but is not. You can waste it, but there’s a price associated as well. My friend, I am not against the concept of enjoying life to fullest. The truth is life becomes more enjoyable upon accomplishment of our goals. On the other hand, the life with unfulfilled desires becomes a burden after a while.

My friend, I am not against the concept of enjoying life to fullest. The truth is life becomes more enjoyable upon accomplishment of our goals. On the other hand, the life with unfulfilled desires becomes a burden after a while and this burden keeps increasing with every minute.

So, start treating your time like an asset, and when you feel like procrastinating just think about the other guys (your opponent and your competition and your inspiration and your role model) who might be utilizing the very same time in a productive manner. This ruthless world has no concern about how much time you need to become sucessful in life; it simply picks the best alternative available at the very moment. Buckle up, my friend! and Have a nice day.
