Assessing the Situation?

A house having a venomous snake is not suitable for living. In the same manner, a home having an ill-tempered wife with low morals, with a deceitful friend, or with an impolite and talkative servant is also not suitable for living.

Chapter 1 Chanakya Neeti

When it comes to things like snake or fire, we tend not to touch them and to stay away from them. This is something to be expected from a wise man, but in life, we don’t pay much attention to obvious things that might prove hazardous.

Swords don’t puncture a tire; nails do. Obvious things shouldn’t be ignored.

RelationShips:

It won’t help much to be in a relationship with a person who is not loyal. Also, the same applies to a person having a bad temper. The simple suggestion is not to get involved in a harmful/toxic relationship. Not much explanation is needed. Applicable to men as well as women. Take all necessary actions and precautions beforehand because it’s too complicated, too expensive, and too ugly to break a relationship.

Relationships are like sharks, when not moving forward; they die.

Friendships:

The foremost thing is that friendship flourishes amongst equals. Also, the existence of loyalty is mandatory. Befriending someone whom you cannot trust is a bad idea. We know a lot of people, but the tag of friendship cant be placed on everyone. If, for some reason, you are in friendship with a bad guy, just end it harmoniously.

Employees:

Respect and obedience are two things required in an employee, along with the necessary qualifications. If not, then something must be rectified. Such an employee is a potential candidate for a replacement provided the more important things don’t get affected in doing so. Employees who don’t listen are an obstacle in the chain of command.

People who work for you should be dependable. Unreliable and inconsistent people only add to the crowd; than productivity.

The simple idea is to make an assessment of the situation you are in and isolate yourself if that’s hazardous for you. In the process abide by the law and be ethical while doing so. Also, evaluate the profits and losses as well.
