Yes! hope and enthusiasm are the two things that determine your luck. If you have them, then you are lucky for sure. Today we will be discussing a bit about this Chanakya Sutra “निरुत्साहाद् दैवं पतति|“. In Hindi it means ” उत्साह के आभाव में भाग्य भी नष्ट जाता है |“. In English it means “In lack of enthusiasm, the luck gets destroyed“.
The Quote mentioned above presents a very clear idea in itself. Still, I would request you to spend a minute or two reading this article. The idea stated above is about having genuine hope and has nothing to do with unproductive wishful thinking. A daydreamer thinks and only thinks. Be it knowledge or intelligence, both are useless without a set of valid-actions.
Even the best plan will require proper action for it’s accomplishment. As far as the planning part is concerned, most of us are an expert. The real trick lies in implementation of that plan and accomplishment of particular objective. This mean hard work is a mandatory requirement and better we do it the right way.
Another interpretation of the quote being discussed is that “Do not let anger, anxiety, frustration, or boredom to interfere in anything you perform“. If you are doing something with required dedication and by being in right mindset, then the probability for successful accomplishments of that task rise to extreme levels.
Now, when things happen (actually they are made to happen with hard work) in right manner, then ordinary people ignore the hard work and planning behind that accomplishment accomplishment and simply put a label of Good Luck on it.
Let me present you with two ideas. That might help in gaining some more clarity.
- The team that plays to avoid defeat never wins.
- The Team that plays to win is one that wins.
It is said that life is not a bed of roses. Perfect situations are either present in books, movies, and in dreams. All we need is to understand this simple fact and accept it wholeheartedly.
Everyone knows it is best in their own interest to remain calm and stable in bad circumstances. How many of us apply this principle? Yes! very very few.
Life tests everyone and everyone encounters some or the other problem in life (sometimes many Problems at once). People do fail at few instances, but the ultimate failure is one who loses hope. Remember! when hope goes; all goodness goes with it.
* In my personal opinion. Even if there seems no way and the loss turns inevitable, even in those circumstances one must remain calm. If facing the loss appears bad, then feeling depressed will only make it worse.
Conclusion:
- Have big hopes, work with enthusiasm, and when your hard work will bear fruits; people will call you lucky.
- The moral is “To gain success you will require doing hard/smart work. If hard work is to be done, then better we do it with enthusiasm”.
